Olsen Concrete performs concrete pavement spot repairs on roads, streets, alleys, parking lots, bus pads, industrial yards and highway-related work for public agencies, general contractors, property owners and businesses in King, Snohomish, Skagit and Pierce County. We repair the failed areas so the pavement can stay in service, instead of reconstructing the whole roadway.
Concrete pavement repair services
- Partial-depth spall repair: saw-cutting and chipping out deteriorated concrete at joints and cracks, then placing a bonded repair material.
- Full-depth spot repair and panel replacement: removing failed slabs or slab sections down to the base and replacing them, with load transfer at the joints when the project calls for it.
- Joint and crack sealing: cleaning out and resealing joints and cracks to keep water and debris out.
- Rapid-setting repairs: fast-setting repair materials when a lane, ramp or lot has to reopen quickly.
- Utility cut and trench restoration in concrete pavement.
- Curb, gutter, sidewalk and ADA ramp panels that are part of the same repair package. See sidewalk repair.
- Parking lot and yard repairs: parking lots, industrial yards, loading docks and dumpster pads.
How we work on public and commercial pavement
- We follow the project’s plans, specifications and traffic control requirements, and schedule work around lane closures, night windows and tenant hours.
- Repair limits are marked and saw-cut square so patches hold and look clean.
- Materials are chosen for the required opening time, temperature and traffic.
- We can work as the prime contractor on small repair packages, or as a subcontractor to a general contractor.

Questions we get asked
What is the difference between partial-depth and full-depth concrete repair?
Partial-depth repair removes only the damaged top part of the slab, usually at joints and cracks, and replaces it with a bonded repair material. Full-depth repair removes the slab section all the way down to the base and replaces it.
Do you work for cities, counties and general contractors?
Yes. We take on concrete spot repair work for public agencies and as a subcontractor to general contractors, as well as for private property owners and businesses.
Can repaired areas reopen to traffic quickly?
Yes. Rapid-setting repair materials allow many repairs to reopen the same day. Opening time depends on the material, temperature and the traffic loads, and is set by the project specification.
