Olsen Concrete grinds and polishes concrete floors for garages, shops, basements, warehouses, showrooms, schools and retail spaces across King, Snohomish, Skagit and Pierce County. Polishing turns a dull, dusty slab into a hard, easy-to-clean floor, with no coating to peel.
Polishing and grinding services
- Mechanically polished concrete: grinding with progressively finer diamonds, densifier and a final polish to the sheen you choose (matte, satin or high gloss).
- Grind and seal: a lower-cost option for garages and shops: we grind the surface clean and apply a penetrating or topical guard.
- Coating removal: grinding off old epoxy, paint, glue and mastic.
- Repolishing and maintenance for worn commercial floors. See commercial polish maintenance.
- Crack and joint repair before polishing, so the finished floor looks complete.
- Leveling and flattening of high spots and lips by grinding. See concrete grinding.
Why polished concrete
- Very durable under foot traffic, carts and forklifts
- No coating to chip, peel or lift with hot tires
- Less dust: densifying hardens the surface
- Brighter space: a polished floor reflects light
- Simple care: dust mop and auto-scrub with a neutral cleaner

Questions we get asked
Can any concrete floor be polished?
Most sound slabs can. Heavy damage, soft or very uneven concrete, or floors with deep coatings need extra grinding or repairs first. We check the slab and tell you what finish to expect.
Is polished concrete slippery?
Polished concrete is generally no more slippery than other smooth floors when clean and dry. Water, oil and dust make any floor slippery, and we can recommend a sheen level and treatment for wet areas.
How long does polishing take?
A two- or three-car garage usually takes one to two days. Commercial floors are scheduled in phases or after hours to keep your business running.
