Olsen Concrete strips, refinishes and maintains VCT (vinyl composition tile) floors for schools, churches, daycares, offices, medical and dental clinics, retail stores and warehouses. We take the floor back to clean tile and lay down fresh coats of commercial floor finish, after hours or on weekends so your building keeps running.
VCT and hard-floor services
- Full strip and refinish: removing old, yellowed and built-up finish down to bare tile, then applying multiple fresh coats of commercial finish.
- Scrub and recoat: a lower-cost refresh when the base coats are still in good shape.
- Burnishing: high-speed buffing to bring back the gloss between refinishes.
- Scheduled floor maintenance: monthly, quarterly or yearly programs for facilities.
- Sealed and polished concrete maintenance for warehouses and showrooms. See concrete polishing.

Questions we get asked
How often should VCT floors be stripped and waxed?
Busy entries and hallways often need a full strip once or twice a year, with scrub-and-recoats and burnishing in between. We set a schedule based on your foot traffic.
Can you work after hours?
Yes. Most commercial floor work is done evenings, overnight or on weekends so classrooms, offices and stores stay open.
How long before people can walk on the floor?
Floor finish needs time to dry between coats and before traffic. Most floors are ready the next morning. We plan the work so the floor is ready when your building opens.
